DHFLA is honored to announce that we have been selected as a 2026 recipient of the Janis Levine Music Women and Children’s Endowment Fund through the Dallas Jewish Community Foundation. This generous grant will strengthen our mission of providing no-interest loans to Jewish individuals and families facing financial hardship, with a special focus on survivors of domestic abuse.
Helping Remove Financial Barriers for Domestic Abuse Survivors
This support will specifically enhance our no-interest loan program for survivors of domestic abuse, helping remove financial barriers that can stand in the way of finding safety, stability, and a fresh start. For many survivors, leaving an abusive situation is only the first step. The financial challenges that follow can often feel overwhelming, making it difficult to secure housing, obtain legal assistance, or arrange reliable transportation.
DHFLA’s no-interest loans are designed to bridge that gap. By helping cover essential expenses such as legal fees, housing costs, security deposits, transportation, and other immediate needs, these loans provide practical assistance at a time when it is needed most. Access to financial resources can make a meaningful difference for survivors who are working to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.
